Oral Work

Quakerism is part of who I am.  Many of the people in my hometown meeting are like adopted grandparents.  They have shared their wisdom and beliefs, helped guide me toward finding my own path.  In choosing this piece to record, I knew that I needed to find a way to fuse this love and support into my voice.  Because it isn’t just the power of silence that defines me, it is also the people who showed me what that power truly means.

The Power of Silence has been published in the Chambersburg Friends Meeting and Caln Quarterly meeting newsletters, and will also be in the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Summer News.  It was recently submitted by my meeting to Friends Journal.
